Intec Systems and Solutions, a leading Engineering Solutions provider, was appointed as the Channel Partner for Projects in Sri Lanka by Havells India Limited.
The event was graced by a distinguished gathering of MEP Consultants, Electrical Engineers and Architects who are involved in some of the largest projects in the country.
Mudhit Bhasin, AGM International Business of Havells India Limited, conducted a presentation of the Havells Group and their Brand Portfolio, whilst Rajat Singhal, Senior Manager International Business, introduced the Lighting and Switch Gears portfolio, which are now available for Projects in Sri Lanka, through their Channel Partner Intec Systems and Solutions.
A special message was delivered by Dr. Asanga Rodrigo, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Electrical Engineering (University of Moratuwa), where he shared his personal experience of a visit to the Havells manufacturing plants in India.

INTEC has successfully launched Havells Lighting product to Construction Industry in Sri Lanka.. The event was held at Cinnamon Grand- Colombo on 15th February with the participation of officials from Havells, Professionals from Universities, Architectures, MEP consultants and Property owners/developers.
Dr.Asanka Rodrigo from University of Moratuwa has shared his Havells Factory visit experience with the gathering. It was a nice speech which will help the audience to select proper LED products and right manufactures.
As all know INTEC is a leading lighting solution provider in the “Hospitality” segment at construction phase with several reputed European brands and already supplied to several key Projects in Sri Lanka including Hilton Colombo, Negombo Browns Beach, Ananthaya Pasikuda, Hyatt Colombo (mockup) etc.
INTEC was looking for another capable brand for medium scale projects where INTEC did not touch before as it is flooded with low quality Chinese brands.

INTEC’s director Engineering and a leading Electrical Specialist from Electrical Engineering Department of University of Moratuwa have been impressed about their manufacturing capacity, quality, process & in-house massive testing capacity while they were visiting the factory.
INTEC has fully sponsored and supervised a final year BSc. Engineering project at Electrical Engineering Department of University of Moratuwa in 2015/2016. This has been successfully completed and it has been recognized as one of best final year projects in 2015/2016 by the university panel. The main objective of the project is to implement standard “Integrated Building Management solution” for Buildings as a benchmark solution. The proposed “System Architecture” and “specification” is very helpful to the Consultants who work with iBMS project in Sri Lanka and globally. The research paper has been published to the IEEE Journal as well.

INTEC and TECKNOWARE MIDDLE EAST FCO, Dubai have successfully conducted a guest lecture for final year Electrical Engineering students of University of Moratuwa. The lecture was on Central Battery Emergency Lighting Systems and Systematic Evacuation.
The Lecture was been conducted by Eng. Ganesh Khanolkar (Director
Operations at TECKNOWARE), Eng. Nimish Juvakar (Ass. Technical Manger at TECKNOWARE), Eng. Minoj Silva (Director-Engineering at INTEC).
This lecturer was arranged by The Electrical Engineering Society of University of Moratuwa. We wish to thank Prof. Sisil Kumarawadu and Dr. Asanka Rodrigo who supported us with this great opportunity.
Mr. Robin Kay, Director of Cooper Controls (UK) was in Sri Lanka recently to meet with the Intec team and conduct technical training.
Several Members of Intec’s fire team visited Bangalore last week to participate in one-to-one training sessions conducted by Cooper-Eaton.
The 03 days training include followings;
- Theoretical and practical training on – Intelligent Fire Alarm systems, networking, graphics, BACnet, Webserver, Voice evacuation, Fireman Intercom, etc
- Programming of FAS including phase evacuation
- Trouble shooting of systems
- Significant features of EATON-Cooper FAS, etc
